About the Charitable Foundation
The "Angels of Tails" charity fund was founded on 10/31/2023 by the Nikonchuk family: Oleg and Evgenia. Since 2024, our fund has been feeding, vaccinating, sterilizing tails and even rebuilding evacuated shelters from the Donetsk region. In 2025, the fund received the TOP 100 best civil society institutions award in Kyiv. We are convinced: the life and well-being of animals completely depend on people.
- Our mission: improving the lives of animals by ensuring their well-being and forming a culture of responsible behavior in society.
- Our specialization: helping animals in the front-line territories of Ukraine and shelters evacuated from the Donetsk region.
WHY ANIMALS?
Before the start of the full-scale invasion, there were about 73,000 homeless animals in Ukraine.
Today, there are many more of them — over 140,000 dogs and cats, and most of them have been abandoned by their owners due to war, evacuation, loss of housing, or job loss.
AREAS OF ACTIVITY
Problems we solve
Due to the full-scale war, many shelters were forced to evacuate from Donetsk region, losing their territories, infrastructure and enclosures.They are starting from scratch in new locations and urgently need to restore basic conditions (quality enclosures), food, and veterinary care.The number of animals in such shelters is constantly growing due to the continuous evacuation of animals.
Due to overcrowded shelters, many animals cannot be evacuated from the frontline areas of Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Donetsk directions, and volunteers work in a constant shortage of resources.We take on those critical requests that other foundations cannot cover: food, vaccination and sterilization.
